How do the difficulty modes work?
There are three modes: Amateur (60 s, clearly winning side), Advanced (30 s, White / Equal / Black), and Grandmaster (10 s, razor-thin margins). Each mode has many positions per day. Your progress in each mode is tracked independently.
How is my score calculated?
A correct answer scores between 0 and 100 points depending on how fast you answered — the less time you used, the higher the score. A wrong answer deducts the equivalent score. Unanswered positions from past days count as 0 to keep your accuracy honest.
What is the source of the chess positions?
All positions come from real games. They are evaluated by Stockfish, and the evaluation thresholds determine which mode they appear in.
How do the rankings work?
Each mode has separate leaderboards: daily, weekly, monthly, and all-time. You always see the top 10 players plus the five players above and below you if you are outside the top 10.
Why does my avatar not appear on the leaderboard?
Avatars are reviewed before appearing on public leaderboards. Once your avatar is verified, it will be shown automatically. Your own profile always shows your avatar regardless of verification status.
How do I delete my account?
Go to the Settings tab inside the app and tap Delete Account. This permanently removes your account, username, avatar, and all game history from our servers. This action cannot be undone.
